Anxiety
Anxiety is an engulfment of fear or feeling uneasy. Most forms of anxiety are apparent in social situations. People suffering from severe anxiety are likely to also feel their symptoms outside of social situations. A person’s level of anxiety should be seen as being on a spectrum. One could argue that many people experience feelings of anxiety, but whereas some people suffer from high-severity anxiety, a lot of other people encounter milder forms of anxiety.
Depression
Depression is a feeling of sadness. In more severe cases of depression, one might have a sense of feeling worthlessness. People with depression may feel isolated or consciously isolate themselves from others. The main difference between depression and feeling a bit sad is the consistency of depression. If the feeling of sadness or feeling low consists for a long time, then this is likely to be a state of depression.
